Do-Ahead Christmas Book Review by Catharine Noble Photography

With December landing and Christmas fast approaching, everyone is preparing for the festive season! Aside from family time one of my favourite things about the Christmas holidays is the food! Mince Pies and brandy cream are completely delicious - and I do confess to eating way more of them than I should! Food can be stressful at Christmas time though - especially if you're throwing a party or hosting Christmas Dinner! So, James Ramsden of the successful book Do-Ahead Dinners has recently released Do-Ahead Christmas

The book contains recipes for starters, mains and desserts as well as drinks - both comforting hot beverages to relax by the fire with, or party drinks to bring in the New Year! there are menu plans, different ways to cook your Turkey and even recipes for post Christmas Day leftovers.

The recipes on my wish list from the book would include: Chestnut Brandy Punch, Pear and Star Anise Virgin Fizz, Roast Duck with Blackberries, Fig and Prosciutto-stuffed Loin of Pork With Apple Sauce and Gravy, Bourbon and Maple Mince Pies and Panettone Bread and Butter Pudding - yum yum!
